Following the resignation of a Labour Councillor from Brent Council there is a by-election on May 6th 2021.

Hampstead and Kilburn and Brent Conservatives are proud to have selected Sapna Chadha as our candidate for the election. We hope to restore strong representation for Brondesbury Park at on Brent Council. The Labour councillors have failed to live up to the legacy they inherited from Carol Shaw.

Sapna Chadha- Your Conservative Candidate for Brondesbury Ward

“I have lived in Brent since 2002 and know the Ward well. As a local resident, a mum and an entrepreneur I am looking forward to hearing your concerns and campaigning for better services and a sustainable healthy environment.

My sons are fifteen and twelve. The elder one has ADHD and we have struggled to find the right sort of schooling and support to help him meet his potential. This has opened my eyes to what needs to be done locally so that all our children can develop the skills they need for life.

I run my own business and this gives me the flexibility I need to spend time on community work. As a life scientist, I have worked in academia, Government and the private sector. Some of my research has been published and I have a strong interest in technology which improves health outcomes.

Locally, I am a committee member of Mapesbury Residents Association and the manager of the U13’s Cricket team at South Hampstead Cricket Club. During the pandemic I have been a member of Mapesbury Mutual Aid, and recently became the lead volunteer organiser for the Willesden Green Mosque vaccination centre.

I am here to listen, respond to your concerns, and fulfil the legacy of Carol Shaw.”

My Local Priorities

Stopping the Low Traffic Nieghbouthood- they are increasing pollution, damaging local businesses and making things difficult for the emergency services.

Improving the local environment – preserving green spaces, halting over-development and improving the state of our roads and pavements.

Crime and anti-social behaviour-  tackling knife and other crime by supporting a stronger community police presence and boosting CCTV coverage.

Supporting local businesses – Ensuring that after the pandemic local businesses get the support they need to generate jobs and serve our community.

On May 6th Vote for Sapna Chadha for a strong voice for our area on Brent Council NB put in bold to separate this from the priorities above

Printed and Promoted by David Douglas, on behalf of  Sapna Chadha, both of 1a Heath Hurst Road, London, NW3 2RU.
