Cllr Laura Trott - Frognal and Fitzjohns

Laura currently works at the House of Commons as Chief of Staff to Francis Maude MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General. In February 2012 she was appointed as the Rt. Hon David Cameron MP's special adviser on Women, a role she will be taking up in Spring 2012.

Laura’s role with Francis Maude MP is to help develop Conservative policy on how to make the machinery inside government work more effectively, and how to get better value for money from public services.

Laura hopes to bring this experience to Camden Council and will be campaigning for cutting waste in Camden services. As a Hampstead resident, who commutes to Westminster on a daily basis, she understands the frustrations that constant tube disruptions are having on the local community. Laura has a particular interest in the council’s schools policy and care for the elderly.

Laura enjoys challenges, having climbed Kilimanjaro and regularly running in charity marathons.
